Left-wing social media giants are BEGGING to be regulated by the government, and Trump may just oblige them

POTUS Donald Trump, who has used social media to perfection by bypassing the hideously biased and dishonest “establishment” media with his tweets, has had enough of the deplatforming of conservative and pro-presidential voices.

And once riled, the president gets results.

Likely in response to the banning of Alex Jones and Infowars from several social media and e-commerce platforms over the past week in what appears to have been a coordinated effort, the president on Saturday not only tweeted his displeasure with the anti-First Amendment behavior of sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google/YouTube, and others, but he hinted that he was preparing to have his administration look into the matter.

Translation: The social media giants are begging to be regulated by the federal government, and POTUS is willing to make that happen.

“Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices. Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others…….” he wrote, as reported by Infowars.

“…..Censorship is a very dangerous thing & absolutely impossible to police. If you are weeding out Fake News, there is nothing so Fake as CNN & MSNBC, & yet I do not ask that their sick behavior be removed. I get used to it and watch with a grain of salt, or don’t watch at all..” he continued.

Then he added: “Too many voices are being destroyed, some good & some bad, and that cannot be allowed to happen. Who is making the choices, because I can already tell you that too many mistakes are being made. Let everybody participate, good & bad, and we will all just have to figure it out!”

Jones and Infowars aren’t the only conservative voices being quashed by the Leftist speech Nazis at Facebook, Twitter, and Google.

‘Is this election meddling?’

As reported by The Gateway Pundit in June, a study by the influential conservative news site found that Facebook had eliminated a stunning 93 percent of referral traffic to its site as well as other major conservative sites.

“From The Gateway Pundit to IJR (Independent Journal Review), to The Daily Caller, it has been discovered that traffic to conservative sites from Facebook is down 93 percent,” the study said. “This is not a coincidence as it has not impacted liberal-leaning sites, this is an across-the-board action on Facebook’s part to eliminate conservative news and opinion.”

The president’s own Facebook engagement has dropped by 45 percent after the social media giant’s “algorithm changes.”

Social media platforms have also been censoring and shadow banning Republican lawmakers and GOP candidates, as The National Sentinel reports:

Per Reddit The Donald, Twitter has shadow-banned John James, a black Republican candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan — a “star” candidate, according to POTUS Trump, who has also endorsed him.

In addition, the site reported, GOP congressional candidate Ron Bassilian, who is running in California’s 37thDistrict, has had his account on Twitter shadow-banned as well, though his Democratic challenger’s account hasn’t been affected at all.

“What happens when the quality ban applies to political candidates? Can we declare this election meddling?” Bassilian tweeted, a reference to the “Russia is meddling in our elections” narrative.

With these and other actions, the social media behemoths are begging for POTUS Trump and the federal government to regulate them – and one Florida lawmaker has already initiated the process.

After discovering that his own Twitter account was shadow banned, GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission in July, citing the fact that by banning him but not his Democratic opponent, Twitter was providing an illicit campaign advantage.
